This year we have nearly 30 projects covering a wide range of nanoscience, including facile synthesis of organic and inorganic nanowires and nanostructures, novel fabrication routes, building of functional bioarchitectures, nanostructured devices and nanowire applications. Building Functional Bio-architecture on Nano Scale by LBL Assembly
In collaboration with Prof. T. A. J. Duke (University College London), Dr. J. I. Sohn (University of Cambridge), Dr. D. Zhou (University of Leeds), S. Yoo (Department of Chemistry, SKKU), and Prof. S. Park (Department of Chemistry, SKKU), we work on the study for fabrication of nano-scaled bio-architectures by considering self-assembled bottom-up approaches on nano-scaled substrate. The regular and successively well-controlled LBL build-up of the multiple biomolecular structures with nanometer precision will be a facile approach to develop highly miniaturized biosensors, biocatalysts and biochips with enhanced functionalities.
