This year we have nearly 30 projects covering a wide range of nanoscience, including facile synthesis of organic and inorganic nanowires and nanostructures, novel fabrication routes, building of functional bioarchitectures, nanostructured devices and nanowire applications. Alignment of Nanowires on Nano-patterned Substrates using Surface Functionalization
In collaboration with Prof. H. S. Shin (UNIST) and N. Kulyk (Department of Chemical Engineering, SKKU), we work on the study for alignment of transition metal oxide nanowires on nano-patterned substrates using surface functionalization. Transition metal oxide nanowires are known to have superior physical/chemical/electrical/optical properties owing to its unique dimensionality compared to their bulk counterparts. So physicists and chemists alike have been extremely interested in immobilization of such smart materials to a specific location in realizing functional novel nanodevices.
