Electrochromic Display Using a Viologen-Modified V2O5 Nanowire
In collaboration with Walid Sharmoukh and Prof. Seung Uk Son at chemistry Department of SKKU, we are developing a new and facile synthetic method to obtain orthorhombic V2O5 nanowires on ITO substrate from organic vanadium solution. The solution will be spin coated on the substrate and then it will be annealed in oven at 4500C in ambient air for 4 hrs. The XRD analysis indicated that as-synthesized nanowires have orthorhombic phase of V2O5 with the lengths in micrometers and diameters of 100-150 nm. The functalization of V2O5 nanowires with viologen phosphate (dye) for electrochromic study is under progress.
