New synthesis route of single crystalline orthorhombic V2O5 nanowires from organic vanadium solution
In collaboration with Patole Shashikant and Prof. J. B. Yoo (at Engineering Department of SKKU, we are developing a new and facile synthetic method to obtain orthorhombic V2O5 single-crystalline nanowires on c-cut sapphire substrate (0001) from organic vanadium solution. The XRD and TEM analysis indicated that as-synthesized nanowires have orthorhombic phase of V2O5 with the lengths in micrometers and diameters of 100-150 nm. The Optical properties of the V2O5 nanowires will be investigate by using UV-vis absorption spectroscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy.
