Synthesis of MoO3 nanowire by solution method
In this work we are trying to develop a low temperature synthetic method to obtain orthorhombic MoO3 nanowires on silicon oxide substrate from acidic solution of Sodium Molybdate. The technique was based on the dip coating on the silicon oxide substrate and then simply annealing in oven at 4500C in ambient air for 4 hrs. The XRD analysis indicated that as-synthesized nanowires have orthorhombic phase of MoO3 with the lengths in micrometers and diameters of 100-300 nm. The experiments are in progress to obtain high quality nanowires by using this simple and inexpensive synthetic method.
